Michele Goldberg is a conceptual artist and former scientist. She aims to combine her two loves to convey abstract concepts in technology and to invite the viewer to contemplate the wonder of simple redundant and recursive patterns in building complex algorithms and artificial intelligence. She uses familiar images such as binary code, circuit boards, and app icons to create rich multi-layered compositions overlaid with foil to simulate the iridescence of computer screens. Her process is analogous to computer programs that utilize filter overlays. In addition, many of her works are movable paintings, which allow the viewer to become a participant in the final outcome. Michele lives and works in San Diego, CA. She has exhibited her work at Ashton Gallery and throughout California.
